The WIPO functions with other various government organizations, non-government organizations, community groups and individuals to organize events and activities to promote World Intellectual Property Day every year. WIPO is a separate agency of the United Nations specializes in intellectual property. It aims to harmonize the international intellectual property system which stimulates creativity, innovation and contributes to economic development. WIPO plays a vital role in arranging and holding World IP Day. The events and activities are held to arouse interest in general public to understand what intellectual property actually means.
